Food for Thought

Have you ever read something and said, Wow, I wish I’d said that?

Me too. At least twice in the last couple of weeks.

This post by Lori Stanley Roeleveld is a case in point. And if you can be classified as a “sensitive” Christian (and I don’t mean the kind who likes pastel colors and cries at the end of Old Yeller), you might want to pass on this one.

My favorite line: “Are you sure you really want to write for Christians? It seems like it doesn’t take anything to offend them!”

And from Mike Duran, while his comments are right on target and deserve a hearty AMEN, the comments in the comments section are quite telling (there’s a plug for his new book, The Telling) as well.

My favorite line: “Why, I haven’t heard language like this since I… since I… well, since I turned on the TV, AM radio, or listened to the local elementary school kids on their way to school. If this is “cutting edge” for Christians, we are seriously sheltered.”

I’ll be interested to hear what you think.
